PancakeCarrot's NYCC 2018 Funko Favorites

Of course we are from the other side of the world it would take us a lot of money to go to New York, it wouldn't be possible for this timeline. But with the help of the "internet" we could choose favorites without going to New York.

This coming end of October, a local toy distributor here in the Philippines will be helding a sale of the NYCC 2018 funko toys here in Manila. People who collect here in Manila will be able to have one without going to the US and they would not be buying from flippers online. Me and Paul are thinking of toys we can score on the coming days maybe before or after Christmas. Sadly, we would not be going on the said event 'cause you know, we have jobs and other life responsibilities. And we are saving some money for other toys we might like to get before the year ends but this won't stop us on marking our favorites.

Honestly speaking, We weren't that hype on the NYCC 2018 release. Mostly because there weren't a lot or any releases on the collection we have or just spark that interest on us but we do like some of the following. Listed below are some of our favorites, hope we have some favorites in common.

1. Pizza Planet Truck with Buzz Lightyear

What's not to love with this figure? It's really cute how they made a Mini Buzz Lightyear held on that steering wheel. We really think it's worth the bucks to bag this one home.

3. Captain Rex from Star Wars: Clone Wars

Of course you can't take this off our list from the Star Wars Nerd here.

2. Katayanagi Twins from Scott Pilgrim 

We love the Scott Pilgrim Comics more than the Film, Any comic book reader would simply agree with us. This twin pack is a great way to start a Scott Pilgrim Funko Collection.

Pancake's Top 3 Favorites at NYCC 2018:

1. Spider-Woman 

I dressed up at Spider-Woman on my 3rd Birthday when I was a kid. Seeing this brings up that memory of me and how I'm such a nerd on a tender age of 3.

2. Professor Quirrel from Harry Potter

One of the awesome feature of this POP! is the removable turban. I think this would be the first time they had something like this (same with the removable wig of Okoye from Black Panther). This proves as an awesome innovation on the works for Funko Toys ahead.

3. 90th year Anniversary Mickey Mouse VYNL Figure

You know we love some of that VYNL realness. This is one the cutest release they ever had at the NYCC 2018 selection. This one, Paul and Me would really want to get this first of all the figures that we have mentioned. First, because it isn't a Funko POP! - meaning the demand for it might not be as high compared to all the POPS that we mentioned and getting that on a "non-event" day would be possible. Second, It's a VYNL - As you would probably know we do have a massive VYNL splurging last September and We do love the designs or aesthetics of this figure more if you will. And Lastly, it's Mickey. Who doesn't love Mickey?

So, there you have it. Our favorites. Hoping one day we will have even just one of those figures we mentioned.
