12 Days of Christmas (DAY 8): Metallica Lady Justice

It's our first music related toy.

This POP! resembles the album cover art of
Metallica's ...And Justice for All Album. Cutesy version at least.
This POP! is well detailed up to the scale she is holding.
They managed to have the tiny details of the money on it.
And I must say that the texture of the toy (appearance and touch) cracked marble
is pretty nice. The figure is really satisfying to look at they made
a pretty good job on achieving this gritty yet sophisticated look.

We do hope for more album cover version of pops to be made in the coming year.

12 Days of Christmas (DAY 1): Harry Potter and Dobby VYNL

It's our first ever 12 Days of Christmas Video / Blog Content
so, please bear with us.

We will be attempting to upload Video and Blog for that matter for 12 Days straight!

We know that this might be a good idea to boost our "algorithm" in the YouTube Content Creator World but also a bag idea that we might be rushed into getting some content done.
But fear not! Me and Paul have slightly planned this ahead (or did we?)
We might be delayed in some days, Hope not but I expect that kind of boo-boo
in this kind of work. But on the other-hand, Me and Paul worked for a TV Network before,
and we produce 3 to 4 video graphics, as for him artworks or layout per day.
So, this should be easy.

Going back to the "Toy Review"

Finally, a perfect Harry Potter figure! Funko, you did well.
This is the Harry that I would love to see.
The signature lighting scar is now present. and the hair... THE HAIR is now accurate.

If you watched the video above, We love this figures so much that we gave it both
an epic 5 out of 5 ratings.

Hope to see more of this kind of quality toy from Funko
and I will happily shut up and take my hard earn money!!!

PancakeCarrot goes to AsiaPOPComicon 2018

A video montage of our AsiaPOPComicon 2018 experience.

Video Highlights:

  • Buying of Jollibee Funko Pop and Obtaining Jollibee's Signature
  • Netflix Booth
  • Tokidoki Booth
  • Simone Legno Signing Session
  • Hot Toys Collection
  • Quick glimpse of Finn Jones
  • The CAGE (Cosplay Authority Global Challenge) Results

What we didn't have on video was:
  • Hall D by Disney - it was strictly no phones and other electronic / recording devices on that Hall.
  • Other artist on the floor local and international
It's more of an experimental vlog day for Me and Carrot, We managed to use the DSLR of my sister for taking video clips this year and we've realised that we are noobs on that particular tool. Learning experience here is to use the camera that you know the most. DO NOT EXPERIMENT on SPECIAL EVENTS.

Next year, we're planning to buy a 3 day access (if budget should be enough) and some of my friends and even my siblings wants to go and do cosplay. Let's see if they're going to remember that next year.

As always, AsiaPOPComicon is a super fun day, tiring but fun. Despite of the humps before our day began, we still managed to do a short vlog.

Toy Photography for the Hobbiest and Collector

Toy Photography is a perfect hobby for people like Me and Carrot, who happen to have a dozen of collectable toys. It's the perfect time to showcase our collection in an "artsy" way, well, at least for us.

If your looking for pro-tips in this article, You've come to the wrong place. It's just me discussing ways on enjoying your toy collection other than collecting dust on your shelf and maybe a bit of photography tips but I claim that I am not a PRO at this. I just know what a good photo will get a bunch of likes in instagram, OK.

So, there are different types of toy collector, Me and Carrot are what collectors call "out of the box" type of collector (Next time, I'll do an article about types of toy collector). And we love to post toy photography in instagram, and your here readings this, it's just fair to share, the things we do to have tons of  ❤️ by Pancake.

COLOR COORDINATION

People love a well color coordinated photo, don't be shy to explore your filters.

USE PROPS

Using props, adds up to the visual impact you want your audience to have.

USE NATURAL LIGHTING

Nothing beats a good, old natural light.

and lastly...

HAVE FUN

Who cares if you bend the rule of thirds? or overly used a filter? (I know bunch of Photo Enthusiast) But as long as you enjoy taking photo of your toy, it doesn't matter to have bunch of ❤️on instagram. Me and Carrot, don't always have that 100 likes minimum (mostly me) but yet, we do toy photography because it's FUN, It releases us from stress.

Don't do photography for the likes, Do it for yourself.
